Press Registration is Open for CNS 2016 in NYC

January 8, 2016

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:New_york_times_square-terabass.jpgCNS 2016: Advances for Brain Science and Society

Join us in the Big Apple to explore the underlying nature of how we think!

Press registration is now open for the Cognitive Neuroscience Society annual conference, April 2-5, 2016, in New York City, at the New York Hilton Midtown. Get great story ideas and connect with more than 1,500 neuroscientists. See the latest cognitive neuroscience research in aging, memory, language, attention, and learning.

Highlights will include:

  • Keynote address by Elizabeth Phelps (NYU) – open to the public – on race and the brain, including ways neuroscience may inform interventions to prevent racial bias in decision-making
  • Award talks by Brian Wandell (Stanford) on visual science and imaging, Jim Haxby (Dartmouth) on computational models for cognition, Adriana Galvan (UCLA) on adolescent brain development and decision-making, and Joel Voss (Northwestern University) on enhancing episodic memory networks using noninvasive brain stimulation
  • Symposia on computational psychiatry, long-term memory retrieval, and the life-long consequences of early-life adversity
  • More than 1,000 posters and 50 talks covering the latest research on memory training, intracranial electrical recordings, visual perception, and more

Registered members of the press will have complimentary access to scientific talks, posters, and receptions. The full program and schedule will be available in January.

To qualify as a member of the press, please be prepared to provide press credentials in the form of one of the following: a business card from a newsmedia outlet, a membership card for a journalistic professional society (e.g. NASW), letter from an editor of a news media outlet to show that you are on assignment, or recent clips related to cognitive neuroscience. Full credential policy.
