the University?s visibility in the area of cognition and foster and complement
the important developments in this area at the ANU.
There are excellent
opportunities for the development of a strong research program. ANU is one of
Australia's best research universities, having been ranked 49th in the world and
1st in Australia in The 2003 Academic Ranking of World Universities. ANU also
won the highest number of grants in the major competitive grant scheme
(Australian Research Council Discovery Projects) in 2003. Opportunities for
collaboration outside the School include the Centre for Visual Science, the
Medical School, and Centre for Mental Health Research.
Details of
cognition at The Australian National University and the Australian/Canberra
